Blue Bud
Blue Bud is an ambitious project that merges AI and hardware to create more intuitive, hands-free ways of accessing mobile information. Despite its minimal appearance, the project presented significant challenges: integrating the logic board within an extremely compact volume, preserving unobstructed audio input and output, ensuring compatibility across a wide range of phone cases and devices, and delivering the complete design within a one-month deadline.

An initial user analysis revealed diverse user typologies, helping define a design language that balanced technological precision with organic softness.
CAD development became a critical stage in launching the prototyping phase. Hundreds of prototypes were produced to validate assemblies, surfaces, and textures — both for the physical product and for the packaging system designed to contain it.
Continuous collaboration with vendors across the world, particularly in mainland China and Taiwan, played a key role in validating the final product quality and manufacturing feasibility. The result is a product that was awarded first place in its category at the Red Dot Design Award.
